Timothy Alan Getchius of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 67.
Born on January 28, 1959, to Thomas and Marion Getchius in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Raised in Seymour, Wisconsin, and a 1977 graduate of Seymour High School.
Tim moved to Hawaii in 1982 and found his calling working as a landscaper with Kona Nursery. He enjoyed hands-on work and the satisfaction of a job well done. Most recently employed with Safeway as a Store Associate.
Survived by his daughter Angela (Mike) Coenen of Neenah, WI; brothers Michael (Cyndi) Getchius of Redgranite, WI, Patrick (Cynthia) Getchius of Naalehu, HI, Douglas (Lori) Getchius of Hobart, WI; sister Diane (Noland) Palacol, of Kailua-Kona, HI; granddaughters Destiny Campbell and Eternity Coenen of Neenah, WI; great-granddaughter Evelyn Campbell of Neenah, WI; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Catherine Getchius, and brother James Getchius.
No funeral services will be held. Private interment. Mahalo nui loa to the staff and volunteers of Hospice of Kona and Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa for their care and support.
